The August Full Moon: Pausing before the Bright New Journey

The August full moon is called the “Blueberry Moon” by the Ojibwe or the “Moon When All Things Ripen” by the Dakota Sioux, which reflects our current phase very well. The August Full Moon in Pisces takes place on the 26th at 7:56 a.m. EST and offers us the chance to reflect and feel how far we have come in our lives. Take note of the painful moments and how you have grown and gained strength from them, your soul growing wiser. The past few months and especially the past few weeks have been very challenging for many, especially those working on the lower energies of the egoic self. There is nothing shameful or bad about this process because the experience is allowing us to develop an awareness. The current energies support us in graduating from past experiences and it is a time of culmination, completion, and manifestation.

This full moon is moving us from a place of dark introspection to a bright and blossoming place of creativity and light. It also signifies a new gateway opening after having been through three powerful eclipses and Lion’s Gate. We may cut the cords to suffering, wash away any sorrow, and move into a more loving state of being where we can surrender to love. We learn and grow the most during dark times and this recent phase was very much about reviewing and processing so that we could move forward. We were asked to look at our truths, to examine the inner depths of our hearts, and now we are being released from this corridor to move forward on our journey once again.

The Full Moon is a Time of Release and Growth

There is a grand trine occurring between the Sun, Uranus, and Saturn on this day as well which provides a foundation of strength, reliability, and all that is practical along with the emotional full moon. This is a time where we are being asked to receive, because we are a part of the universe, not because we are giving or doing something to earn it, but simply because it is our birthright as energetic beings. This is a time to honor and love our tender heart.  Self-love and love of all without resistance allows us to be present and live from the heart. The universe is asking us to find and remove barriers so that we may move forward with trust in divine order. We are divine beings and we are being reminded that we are not separate.

This beautiful Pisces full moon allows us to look at the path before us and to feel excited about our new journey. We will feel more aligned and stronger moving forward, filled with new hope. We are now free to leave attachments and expectations behind from all that has been processed.

We are in a transformative phase and working through the lower energies is going to be pivotal in our ability to move forward. To be able to heal, shift, and change in positive ways is to trust in the universe and in our hearts.  Patience has also been an important lesson for many this year. It is the cornerstone of all virtues and the more patient we become, the more we can live a joyful life in a loving state.

There will also be a romantic focus and many are releasing any resistance to commitment. Freedom may be created through a union and the realization can be quite liberating and exciting. Pisces represents unconditional love and shows us the way to opening our hearts.

The Sun entered the sign of Virgo on August 23 which means we are now in a phase in which we can transfer our creative desires into the physical. By bringing our visions into a tangible state and finding practical and logical ways to make our dreams and goals happen, this allows us to experience the fruition of our journey and provides a joyous yet realistic means to finally move forward.

This full moon is a soothing and provides us an opportunity to work on releasing that which no longer serves us. Let this powerfully beautiful new moon remind you how strong you are and that no matter what, you are loved, you are capable, and there is joyful path ahead. Remember you are an infinite spark of all creation. You are now set forth into a time of conscious creation and empowerment. It is truly a time of love and light.

 

The Forward Energy of Consciousness: Shutting Off Mind Chatter

Gaining Clarity Through Insight – Practicing Mindfulness Techniques Allows You to Transform Your Life – Awakening The Core

Many people have brilliant ideas but are often unable to manifest them. What prevents them from moving forward? The ego. This is because the ego’s goal is keep us in low vibration thought patterns that perpetuate negative thoughts and beliefs such as fear, judgement, lack, selfishness, shame and jealousy. These kinds of thoughts often contribute to a perpetual cycle of self-defeating behaviors. A solid foundation cannot be built on a continual loop of negative thought. Something must break loose, to free the mind enough to allow it to travel in a new direction.

Learning to direct your energy and attention to your inner intuitive guidance system, or higher self, will allow you to rewrite the physical circuitry of the brain to create new mental paths. This then allows for new outcomes that are positive. This is often referred to as neuroplasticity in the world of science.

According to Joe Dispenza, “Neuroplasticity is our natural ability to change how the brain’s neurons are connected and organized into circuits, which we call its synaptic wiring. Every time we learn something new or have a novel experience, the brain makes new synaptic connections to form new neural patterns of networks – and this happens at any age. When we utilize new circuits in new ways, we rewire the brain to fire in new sequences.”

We can use the idea of neuroplasticity to create change for ourselves, so that we can move into a more positive state and open ourselves up to more opportunities, change, and growth. This process allows us to step out of the mind chatter and mental loops. The continual travelling of the same neural pathways repeatedly reinforces the thoughts and behaviors behind the chatter and loops. Finding a way to stop this pattern and create openings for new thoughts and behaviors is quite literally be mind-changing.

Working with the higher mind allows us to intuitively create. So how do you tap into the higher mind? The first step is to stop the mind chatter. There are many ways to approach this. One example is to bring your attention to your breath. Pay attention to each inhale and exhale, giving notice only to the breath. If you catch yourself thinking a thought, let it pass. Don’t judge yourself for having the thought, just notice it and then continue with the exercise.

It is life changing to create new neural pathways in the brain. To open the mind to new possibilities opens our life to change and new outcomes.
