Tools for Spirit

Spiritual tools can be helpful as reminders for us to practice a life of love and light. I believe that elements found in nature are there to teach, heal, remind, and help us regarding valuable ideas, concepts, and information.

The robin is a bird of divine service. They also symbolize the power of happiness, wisdom, change, growth, and renewal.

The metaphysical properties of stones, crystals, animals, plants and wildlife offer wisdom and are valuable teachers on our spiritual path.

I enjoy making jewelry, dream catchers and items that serve as tools for our path. I prefer materials that are sustainable and that honor our beloved Earth. I love working with gemstones, crystals, rocks, wood, clay, and metals. I string beads, wire wrap, and enjoy metalsmithing and stone setting. I love creating unique one-of-a-kind pieces.

Silver is a favorite metal to work with

When I create a piece, it’s a very organic and natural process. I prefer to let intuition guide me so that the symbolic and metaphysical meanings of the gemstones and elements used in the piece are often in sync without me strategically planning it to be that way. For example, a recent necklace I created featuring the Incan creator, Viracocha, has elements and stones that all work in harmony together for the purpose of overcoming challenges, focusing, grounding, managing obstacles, and finding one’s path.

Necklace by Sonya Julie – this piece includes turquoise, celestial jasper, tiger’s eye, citrine and clay and features Viracocha, the silver charm in the center, who is the great creator deity in the pre-Inca and Inca mythology in the Andes region of South America.

I am also currently writing a book and have plans for other materials that I want to share in loving service. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to create.
